We grow up learning that fairy tales aren’t real. But online, that instinct disappears. Rumors spread faster than facts, and the more dramatic the story, the more people believe it.
Whiskas launched a social-driven alternate reality game hidden across the internet. Clues planted in posts, videos, creators, and forums led players through the origin of the rumor, slowly revealing how a single story can spiral far beyond the truth. The journey ended with a tabletop-inspired game where players could rewrite the narrative themselves. Because online, just like in fairytales, stories only have power if we choose to believe them.
Instead of arguing the rumor, Whiskas reframed it. Because the internet’s wildest claims aren’t so different from the stories we grew up with. They’re modern fairytales.
The Whiskas campaign wasn’t just about the work for us. It was a reminder of why I wanted to become an Art Director in the first place. The late nights and the laughs with some of the most talented people I know made this campaign so special to me.
